I was licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 1985. I earned my BA and Master's degrees in Counseling Psychology from The Professional School of Psychological Studies in San Diego, California.
During my early years my focus was in the field of Self-Esteem where I studied with Nathaniel Branden, PH.D. More recently I have gained extensive experience with individual and group bereavement support at Memorial Hospice in Santa Rosa, California. I trained with the Metta Institute in Compassionate End-of-Life Care, The International Institute for Humanistic Studies in Existential-Humanistic Psychotherapy and I am certified as a Healing Shame Practitioner in the Lyon/Rubin Method. I am also a Certified Trauma Practitioner and trained in Transforming Trauma using E.M.D.R. with Laurel Parnell, PH.D.
I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, CAMFT Redwood Empire Chapter, American Group Psychotherapy Association, Northern California Group Psychotherapy Society and the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
I have lived in Santa Rosa, CA for more than twenty years where I have been actively involved in serving my community.
